A Season Of Change

It's been about three weeks since I blogged - the longest gap since I began this adventure. It wasn't a completely planned action on my behalf - it just kind of happened as a day rolled into a week, in that dropping way time passes.

In some ways, it was nice to take a break from it. It gave me time to clear my head a little and participate in some other enjoyable activities.
Over my little sabbatical, I made a few discoveries. So I figured the best way to share them was in a list, a condensed summary of what I've been up to over the last while.
Mucho Love,
1.Nigel Slater isn't ALWAYS right. Specifically when it comes to French Onion Soup. So not worth peeling that many onions.
2.You never stop learning to pick your battles. And you do need to pick your battles.
3.If you want to feel like an instant badass, listen to "Niggas in Paris" while Frank Underwood-ing it up on a rowing machine.
4.Sometimes, being right isn't important.
5.As scary as it is, taking a chance and letting people into your life will reward you in many unexpected, wonderful ways.
6.Respect is earned, not freely given. And like trust, once it's lost, it's difficult to regain.
7.It's never too early or too late to join a gym.
8.Cronuts are a dual example of everything right and wrong in the world.
9.A career is not a life and not being sure if you're in the right one is not the end of the world.
10.You're never too old to burn toast.
11.Race yourself and yourself alone. Don't compare your journey to somebody else's.
12.I'm too old for Snapchat. I just don't get it.
13.I have a bit of an addiction to the DĂșn Laoghaire Farmer's Market.
14.The forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden was not an apple. At no point in the Bible does it say it was an apple. Not that I was a big believer in the Bible's accuracy but apple's have gotten an unfair rap all these years.
15.It's better for people to dislike you for who you are then adore you for what you're not.
16.In all areas of your life, try to carry out action with purpose.
17.Even if you don't believe in yourself, there will always be someone who does believe in you. Listen to them.
18.Happiness is a choice. It can be difficult at times to find it or to pick it, but it is always available - even in the darkest corners.

19. There is a special kind of joy in shopping for seasonal fruit and vegetables.

20. It is a very lucky and rare thing to be loved - no matter what form it comes in.
